As outbreaks of COVID-19 continue to spread across the Chippewa Valley of Wisconsin, many local farmers, cooperative managers, small producers, and growers see the global food system as broken – though they affirm that local consumers have the power to change it. In this investigative short documentary, Volume One looks at the impact of the pandemic on rural food systems in the Eau Claire, Menomonie, and Chippewa Falls area. Produced by Volume One, this documentary was made possible with support from the Facebook Journalism Project, as well as Pablo Food Hub.
