Tell Your Business Story

Partner Content

Volume One partners with local businesses, organizations, and individuals to present non-traditional editorial content that may be of interest to thousands of readers throughout the Chippewa Valley and beyond.

What is Partner Content?

Volume One will write an article, take photos, shoot a video about your company. Your story may appear in Volume One Magazine, on VolumeOne.org, and in Volume One’s socials and email newsletter.

It’s paid.
Partner Content refers to articles and videos that are paid for by the client in some way. These client-focused opportunities frequently come from planned annual features – on topics like realtors, developers, retailers, restauranteurs and others – where you invest to activate our editorial, photo, and/or video teams to tell your specific story across print, online, email, and social.

How It Works

Kinds of Partner Content

  1. Articles that are part of an annual section like Legal Leaders, or New Neighborhoods (see the full list below)
  2. Video/article series like “Meet The Best”, or “Try The Best” email newsletters.
  3. One-time article that doesn’t necessarily fit into part of a series that we’re doing, but is timely content that coincides with a section that we’re doing. Examples: an article about a tree trimmer may appear in our “Tree City” section.

What You Get

Depending on your needs, partner content may include these kinds of things:

  • one-page article
  • inclusion in Volume One’s print magazine
  • inclusion on Volume One’s website, sometimes with custom styling
  • photo shoot: portrait, place, product: you can keep the hi-res photos for your own purposes
  • short video: appears on VolumeOne.org, newsletter, and social channels

Process

Your ad rep will collect some details: subject, schedule, photo/video needs, etc.

Then our editorial team will follow-up with you for info, and to schedule an in-person or phone interview. For video or photo shoots, our video team or photographer will reach out to schedule.

When the article is ready, we’ll send you a draft to review and get your approval before it’s published.

What We Need From You

We’ll provide a checklist, but here’s what we usually need:

  • company info: title, address, names, etc
  • Tell us your story.
  • name and email of someone from your company who will be working with us
  • Do you need photos taken?
  • Time in your schedule to meet and review so that we can meet our strict deadlines.

*Volume One ultimately decides what is published.

Volume One retains the right to final edit on what gets published in print or online. Our mission is to tell the stories of the Chippewa Valley, so Partner Content must fall within that scope.
